An AWFUL little machine!!!!
well, i just spent more time with a seam ripper removing bad stitches than I would have hand sewing ( and we're talking about a tablecloth ten feet long) The thread gets caught around the spool every few minutes, due to the fact that the designers chose to put a spring BELOW rather than ABOVE the spool- thus holding it up, and making it prone to catching. Even when it is working, the tension isn't correct, so the stitches are uneven and often contain loops on either side- such that the stitch tends to get caught on things, which is particularly an issue because this machine uses a very long stitch- the length traditionally used to make gathers. So when the stitch gets caught on something, it pulls the thread the whole way back, giveing the entire seem a ruffled appearance.
IN SHORT:
Do not buy this machine. When I bought it, I was thinking that it wouldn't be great, but it would be worth 21 bucks. This is not the case. In fact, its probably not worth free. I would have given it zero stars, but that seems not to be an option.
